MGF fencing – Epping local information
The market town and civil parish of Epping has a population of nearly 12,000. Despite having a station on London Underground's Central Line, it retains a rural charm thanks to the surrounding Epping Forest and working farmland. Mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, Epping is home to several Grade I and Grade II listed buildings. The town's market, which takes place every Monday, also dates back to 1253. Epping is known for food, particularly its once-famous Epping Butter, which was once highly sought after in the 18th and 19th centuries. Epping sausages are also a local favourite and continue to be made by Church's Butchers, who have been trading on the same site since 1888.
